A REFINED ENVIRONMENT RENOVATION THAT PRESERVED THE SOUL OF THE HOUSE
The new décor is inspired by the “Grand Siècle” to preserve the soul and tradition of the establishment. The Hotel Académie retained craftsmen from the great French artistic houses and decided to use nothing but the highest quality materials. Careful attention was paid to every detail. |

The rendez-vous for the parisian intellectuals ... Built in 1900 as a boarding house, the building quickly became a favoured rendez-vous venue for intellectuals who liked its location in the centre of Saint-Germain-des-Prés where they could rent a room for the year. Albert Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Robert Kobayashi and many others became fixtures. After the war the boarding house was enlarged to become a hotel. Since the beginning of the 1970s a single family, for whom even the smallest detail is important, has kept a watchful eye over the soul of this unique establishment. |
